Interested in selling MagiCool Cooling Towers?

MagiCool Cooling Towers are either stainless steel or galvanized construction, and are available from 7 to 175 nominal tons. Our galvanized towers can be coated with a zinc chromate primer and two coats of acrylic enamel which can extend the life of your tower by 5 to 7 years. All towers are equipped with totally enclosed Baldor motors, and OSHA approved fan guards. MagiCool's cold water basin and indoor remote tanks are welded to assure rigidity and leak-free operation. Our cooling towers are designed for year round operation - even in freezing weather.

CONSTRUCTION

MagiCool Cooling Towers are factory assembled with an induced draft cross-flow design which saves fan power and eliminates water leakage as compared to forced draft towers. The fan operates in the warm exiting air which prevents freeze up, even in sleet conditions and allows the unit to operate virtually ice free during winter months. Available material options include stainless steel, which is the ultimate in corrosion protection, or the more economical galvanized steel with the option of zinc chromate primer and polyurethane acrylic enamel for added protection. The cold water basin of each cooling tower is welded, which eliminates the need for gaskets or sealants.

WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

In MagiCool Cooing Towers, hot water is introduced into the tower at the top of the unit and flows into the hot water basin. It is then delivered to the fill via polypropylene spray nozzles using gravity. A small amount of water evaporates as it travels through the fill, leading to cooling of the remaining water which falls down into the cold water basin and finally exits the cooling tower.

FILL & DRIFT ELIMINATORS

MagiCool uses thermoformed PVC type fill, which is resistant to 125°F water temperatures. A cross-fluted surface is used with the fill to induce turbulent mixing between air and water to maximize heat transfer. The drift eliminators are also thermoformed PVC and practically eliminate water loss.

COLD WATER BASEN

Each cooling tower comes with a standard anti-cavitation plate with the cold water basin. The cold water basins are welded to assure rigidity and leak free operation. They are easy to clean and maintain.

MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

MagiCool uses statically balanced fan blades which are epoxy primed galvanized steel. They deliver maximum performance at lower RPMs for lower noise levels. Totally enclosed, fan cooled Baldor motors are standard on each unit. Three phase is standard, but single phase is available at additional cost. MagiCool Cooling Towers are direct drive up to 20 tons and use a belt drive over 20 tons.

INDOOR REMOTE TANKS

MagiCool indoor remote tanks are available in stainless steel or galvanized steel coated with zinc chromate primer and polyurethane acrylic enamel. Each one is welded to assure rigidity and leak-free operation. Indoor remote tanks are a one-time expense, unlike electric heaters which are a continuing operating expense. These indoor tanks eliminate the need to manually drain the tower and expose piping at shutdown and provide freeze protection for towers not used 24 hours a day.
